 Conservation

  • ORTO BOTANICO DI BERGAMO "LORENZO ROTA"

    The Orto Botanico di Bergamo is engaged on many foreheads for the conservation of the patrimony vegetable: with actions directed on the natural habitats (conservation in situ); cultivating to the just inner species rare or threatened (cultivation ex situ), stimulating, suggesting, supplying given and collaborating with the local authorities of government of the territory; cooperating with agencies and organizations that have similar purposes. The Botanical Garden of Bergamo joins to the BGCI (Botanic Gardens Conservation International) and to the International Agenda for Botanic Gardens in Conservation, instrument that contributes directly to the total strategy for the conservation of the plants.
     
  • GIARDINO BOTANICO ALPINO REZIA BORMIO

    The Garden collects seeds to its inside and in natural atmospheres of the National Park of the Stelvio, in order to offer them in free exchange to other botanical Gardens and analogous institutions of all the world through a "Index Seminum" purposely prepared. The Garden recovers rare and threatened territory seeds, cultivates them to its inside and, when it is possible, it supplies to reintroduce them in nature.
     
  • ORTO BOTANICO DI BRERA MILANO

    The Garden accommodates species threatened in their natural atmosphere. Between these are plants threatened in Lombardy likeSaggitaria sagittifolia, Hibiscus palustris, Leucojum aestivum, Erythronium dens–canis, Nymphaea alba, Salix rosmarinifolia and medicinal plants used in the Lombardic popular medicine like rosmarino, basil, strawberry, malva ecc.
     
  • ORTO BOTANICO DI CASCINA ROSA MILANO

    The Garden accommodates species threatened of extinction, mostly all endemic of the Lombardic humid zones like Hottonia palustris L., Potamogeton gramineus L., Potamogeton trichoides Cham et Schl., Trapa natans L. In collaboration with the regional Center for the Native Flora conserve species threatened of the Lombardic flora.
     
  • ORTO BOTANICO DELL'UNIVERSITA' DI PAVIA

    L'Orto ospita specie minacciate nel loro ambiente naturale. Alcuni esempi sono: Leucojum aestivum, Osmunda regalis, Chamaedorea oblongata.
